JoPACC takes over the operation of JoMoPay Switch
JoPACC has taken over the management and operation of JoMoPay switch from the Central Bank of Jordan on January 31st, 2020, and has introduced some enhancements to the system. JoPACC now manages the system participants and offers full customer support and 24/7 support. In addition, a new version of JoMoPay was released with features that enable better functions from the participants’ side, and it is hosted on cloud. This comes as a crucial step for both CBJ and JoPACC in the planned separation between the management of systems function and the oversight and supervision function. An official circular from CBJ was communicated to all banks, payment service providers and payment system operators in Jordan about the change in system management. A total of 13 financial institutions are connected on JoMoPay; 7 banks and 6 mobile payment service providers. These are Bank of Jordan, Housing Bank, Arab Bank, Cairo Amman Bank, Etihad Bank, Jordan Kuwait Bank, Jordan Commercial Bank, Zain Cash, Orange Money, MEPS, Dinarak, Aya, and Mahfazti.
