JoPACC partners with Mobile Money 4 Resilience
JoPACC, represented by its CEO Ms. Maha Bahou, signed a partnership agreement with Mobile Money 4 Resilience (MM4R) together with the Central Bank of Jordan at the premises of the Central Bank. MM4R is an initiative launched by the Central Bank of Jordan with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The initiative aims to improve the quality of life of refugees and Jordanians by expanding access to finance and developing the digital financial services (DFS) ecosystem. The partnership agreement between JoPACC and MM4R focuses on enabling access to digital financial services, specifically mobile wallets, to Jordanians and refugees in Mafraq and building the capacity of Post Office branches in the city to serve as agents for mobile wallet providers. The signing took place in the presence of Dr. Maher Al Sheikh Hasan, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank and Gates Foundation representative Ms. Valerie Nkamgang Bemo. Dr. Maher spoke highly Ms. Maha’s role in developing the digital finance sector in Jordan and building a solid infrastructure for its services. Ms. Valerie praised Jordan’s commitment to innovation and to increasing financial inclusion in the country. She hailed the country’s commitment to reduce poverty and increase access to financial services contributing inevitably to economic growth. Ms. Maha reiterated JoPACC’s commitment not just to increase the rate of financial inclusion in jordan, but to create long lasting impact and build resilience among vulnerable population groups.
